ஒன்று முதல் பத்து வரை: ஒன்று, இரண்டு, மூன்று, நான்கு, ஐந்து, ஆறு, ஏழு, எட்டு, ஒன்பது, பத்து.

The numbers 1–10: ஒன்று 1, இரண்டு 2, மூன்று 3, நான்கு 4, ஐந்து 5, ஆறு 6, ஏழு 7, எட்டு 8, ஒன்பது 9, பத்து 10. Say them aloud in order until they feel easy.

“எத்தனை?” என்று எண்ணிக்கையைக் கேட்கிறோம். பதிலில் எண்ணை முதலில், பின் பொருளைச் சொல்கிறோம்: “ஐந்து மாணவர்கள்”.

Ask the count with எத்தனை? (“how many?”). In the answer the number comes before the noun: ஐந்து மாணவர்கள் = “five students”, மூன்று புத்தகங்கள் = “three books.”

Count aloud from ஒன்று to பத்து. Then count things around you and say them: இரண்டு கண்கள், ஐந்து விரல்கள், மூன்று புத்தகங்கள்.
