வானிலை வினைகள் அஃறிணை ஒன்றன்பால் (-கிறது): மழை பெய்கிறது, வெயில் அடிக்கிறது, காற்று வீசுகிறது. நிலையைச் சொல்ல “குளிராக / வெப்பமாக இருக்கிறது”.

Weather verbs are in the irrational-singular form (-கிறது): மழை பெய்கிறது (it rains), வெயில் அடிக்கிறது (it is sunny), காற்று வீசுகிறது (the wind blows). For a state, use …ஆக இருக்கிறது: குளிராக இருக்கிறது (it is cold), வெப்பமாக இருக்கிறது (it is hot).

ஒவ்வொரு வானிலைச் சொல்லுக்கும் தனி வினை உண்டு: மழை → பெய், வெயில் → அடி, காற்று → வீசு. தவறாகக் கலக்காதீர்கள்.

Each weather noun pairs with its own verb: மழை + பெய், வெயில் + அடி, காற்று + வீசு. Keep these pairings — you would not say மழை வீசுகிறது.
