அஃறிணை (பொருள், விலங்கு) எதிர்காலத்தில் ஒரே வடிவம் — -உம்: வரும், போகும், செய்யும், ஆகும். ஒன்றோ பலவோ ஒரே வடிவம்தான்: பஸ் வரும், பஸ்கள் வரும்.

For things and animals the future has just one ending, -உம், used for both one and many: வரும் (it/they will come), செய்யும், ஆகும். So பஸ் வரும் and பஸ்கள் வரும் use the same verb form.

மனிதருக்கு -வேன்/-வாய்/-வான்… என்றோம்; பொருளுக்கு -உம் என்போம். “மழை பெய்யும்” (it will rain), “நேரம் ஆகும்” (it will take time).

People take -வேன்/-வாய்/-வான், but things take the single -உம் form: மழை பெய்யும் (it will rain), நேரம் ஆகும் (it will take time). This -உம் future is one of Tamil's most useful little forms.
