“ஒற்றுமையே பலம்” — பலர் ஒன்று சேர்ந்தால் வரும் வலிமை தனிமனிதனிடம் இராது. குழு வேலையின் கருத்தை இந்தச் சிறு தொடர் முழுமையாகச் சொல்கிறது. “ஏ” = தான்/மட்டுமே என்று வலியுறுத்துகிறது.
ஒற்றுமையே பலம் — 'unity itself is strength'. The strength of many together is not in one alone. The emphatic suffix ஏ on ஒற்றுமை ('unity itself') drives the point home.
பழமொழி: “முயற்சியுடையார் இகழ்ச்சி அடையார்” — விடாமுயற்சி உடையவர் தாழ்வையோ இகழ்ச்சியையோ அடைய மாட்டார். உழைப்பின் கௌரவத்தைச் சொல்லும் பழமொழி. (திருவள்ளுவரின் கருத்தும் இதுவே: “முயற்சி திருவினை ஆக்கும்” — குறள் 616.)
