You have finished Arc A (levels 1–6) — the foundations of spoken Tamil are now yours. Next comes the bridge (level 7), moving to the grammar behind what you've been speaking.
இலக்கண மரபின் இரு பெரும் நூல்: “தொல்காப்பியம்” (மிகப் பழமையான தமிழ் இலக்கணம்), “நன்னூல்” (பள்ளி இலக்கணத்தின் தரநூல்). அங்கே திணை, பால், எண், எட்டு வேற்றுமைகள், வினை அமைப்பு, புணர்ச்சி கற்போம். பழமொழி: “கற்கை நன்றே கற்கை நன்றே” — கற்றல் எப்போதும் நல்லதே.
Two great texts of the tradition: தொல்காப்பியம் (the most ancient Tamil grammar) and நன்னூல் (the standard pedagogical grammar). There you'll learn tiṇai, gender, number, the eight cases (வேற்றுமை), verb structure and puṇarcci. Proverb: கற்கை நன்றே கற்கை நன்றே — 'learning is good, indeed learning is good'.
