ஒரு இடத்தை நோக்கிச் செல்வதைக் காட்ட, அந்த இடத்துடன் “கு / க்கு” சேர்க்கிறோம் — இது நான்காம் வேற்றுமை. பள்ளி + க்கு → பள்ளிக்கு.

To show the place you are heading to, add the dative ending -ku / -kku to the place noun. This is வேற்றுமை 4. பள்ளி → பள்ளிக்கு (to school), கடை → கடைக்கு (to the shop). It answers “to where?”

ஒடிசல் வடிவம் கவனிக்க: வீடு → வீட்டு- → வீட்டுக்கு; ஊர் → ஊரு- → ஊருக்கு. பள்ளி, கடை போல உயிர் ஈற்றில் முடிந்தால் நேராக “க்கு” சேரும்.

Watch the oblique stem: வீடு → வீட்டு- → வீட்டுக்கு (to the house), ஊர் → ஊரு- → ஊருக்கு (to town). Words ending in a vowel like பள்ளி, கடை simply take -க்கு directly: பள்ளிக்கு, கடைக்கு.
