விளக்கம் · Explanation

“யாருக்கு” என்று பெறுபவரைக் காட்டவும் அதே “கு / க்கு” பயன்படும். அம்மா → அம்மாவுக்கு, மகன் → மகனுக்கு, ஆசிரியர் → ஆசிரியருக்கு.

The same dative -ku marks the recipient — “to/for whom.” அம்மா → அம்மாவுக்கு (to mother), மகன் → மகனுக்கு (to the son), ஆசிரியர் → ஆசிரியருக்கு (to the teacher). Verbs like கொடு (give) and சொல் (tell) use it.

பிரதிப்பெயரின் “கு” வடிவம்: நான் → எனக்கு, நீ → உனக்கு, அவன் → அவனுக்கு, அவள் → அவளுக்கு, அவர் → அவருக்கு, அது → அதற்கு, அவர்கள் → அவர்களுக்கு.

Memorise the dative pronouns: எனக்கு (to me), உனக்கு (to you), அவனுக்கு (to him), அவளுக்கு (to her), அவருக்கு (to him/her, respectful), அதற்கு (to it/for that), அவர்களுக்கு (to them).
