இந்த நிலை முழுவதும் வினையின் உள் அமைப்பைக் கற்றீர்கள்: அடி, இடைநிலை, விகுதி; மூன்று காலம்; எதிர்மறை; எச்சங்கள்; துணைவினைகள்; பிறவினை. இங்கே அவற்றை ஒரே வினையில் இணைத்துப் பார்ப்போம்.

விதிகள் · The rules

முற்றுவினை அடி-இடைநிலை-விகுதியால் ஆகி, காலத்தையும் திணை-பால்-எண்ணையும் ஒருங்கே காட்டும்.

விதி 1

ஒரு முற்றுவினை மூன்று உறுப்புகளால் காலத்தையும் (இடைநிலை) எழுவாயையும் (விகுதி) ஒருசேரக் காட்டும்: செய்-கிறு-ஆன் = செய்கிறான். திணை-பால்-எண் எப்போதும் எழுவாயோடு ஒத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

A finite verb shows tense (இடைநிலை) and subject (விகுதி) at once: செய்-கிறு-ஆன் = செய்கிறான். The ending must always agree with the subject in class, gender, and number.

தனியே நில்லாது பிற வினையை நாடும் வடிவம் எச்சம்; வினையெச்சம், பெயரெச்சம் என இருவகை.

விதி 2

எச்சம் முற்றுப் பெறாது மற்றொன்றை நாடும்: வினையெச்சம் (செய்து, செய்ய, செய்யாமல்) வினையை நாடும்; பெயரெச்சம் (செய்த, செய்கிற, செய்யும்) பெயரை நாடும்.

A non-finite participle leans on something else: the verbal participle (செய்து, செய்ய, செய்யாமல்) leans on a verb; the relative participle (செய்த, செய்கிற, செய்யும்) leans on a noun.

எதிர்மறை, துணைவினை, பிறவினை ஆகியவை செயலின் மறுப்பு, நிலை, காரணத்தைச் சேர்க்கும்.

விதி 3

எதிர்மறை மறுக்கும் (செய்யவில்லை, மாட்டேன்); துணைவினை நிலையைச் சேர்க்கும் (செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறேன், செய்துவிட்டேன்); பிறவினை செயலைப் பிறரிடம் செய்விக்கும் (செய்யச்செய்தேன்). இவை யாவும் ஒரே அடியின் மேல் கட்டப்படும்.

Negation denies the action (செய்யவில்லை, மாட்டேன்); auxiliaries add aspect (செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறேன், செய்துவிட்டேன்); the causative makes another act (செய்யச்செய்தேன்). All of these are built on the same single root.
